The value of communication should NEVER be underestimated

May 2011 by

Each team was picked fairly - out of a hat... Group MD Martin Ross was unfortunate enough to choose me out of all the other competitive and sporting talent in the office.

We headed down to our first game ...I could feel the added pressure mounting upon my dainty shoulders, as we got closer to the court with every step knowing that I would have to pull out all the stops to keep ‘the boss’ happy.

Luckily we clicked and made a great team, we have a good point’s record, are consistent and currently stand second in the league heading into the semi –final matches... where we eagerly await a re-match against the team currently dominating the league.

Communication is as key in Table Tennis doubles as it is all aspects of life. Being able to communicate in PR is vital - everything revolves around my communication skills within my role, whether it is with my partner at the table, colleagues in the office, clients or the media.

Having never played table tennis with a partner before I think I have found my forte, having lost only a handful of points on my serve over the last six games – it’s now my not so secret weapon.

Watch this space... team Morgan-Ross are going for the 2011 title!
