Why out-of-hours socials should be a priority

May 2011 by

Our presence at out-of-hours community functions organised by clients, matters most when people ask, 'what do you actually know about your client?'

Alongside enjoying ourselves with characters we may not usually get to know on a personal level, we can find a common ground and platforms which help us to connect with people -  to establish a better working life for both sides.

And it is not just with the people we do business with, but colleagues across the different levels of our own company who we get a chance to interact with equally.

Above all, we also get to have fun and relate to one another, which can in itself spur creativity. A recent quiz at Doncaster Deaf Trust saw the OnTrack PR team 'Charlie's Angels' test their general knowledge and their ability to socialise in an out-of-work environment.

We had a blast and just by being there we showed our commitment.
Although we didn't win the quiz, we won an even better rapor with our client and each other.

Here's to making out-of-hours socials a priority...
